Day 96: It’s Beyond Me

Romans 11:33-36

Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!

“For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?”
“Or who has first given to him,
and it will be repaid to him again?”
For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.

One of the most obvious signs that mankind is full of sin is the fact that none of us naturally give God the respect He deserves. Only after Jesus saves us and helps us to see clearly do we realize that this world isn’t for man at all. This world was made by God, it is sustained by God and its purpose is for God.

Man isn’t full of wisdom and knowledge. Man’s wisdom is so limited that it often doesn’t last a single lifetime before it is refuted. God’s wisdom is so amazing that it can be written down and slowly discovered for thousands of years!

The fact is that God’s wisdom, knowledge, and judgments are way beyond us. When God helps us to realize this, we start to trust what He says in the Bible and stop trying to determine if the Bible is true. The Bible is a book that must be accepted before you can determine if it is true because all knowledge and wisdom come from God. You can’t know
anything without God so you have to start by already believing what God has shown you. Even this believing is something that requires God’s help for us to do.

What a good thing it is to finally realize that we are small and God is great.
