Acts 17:30-31 :
The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent, because he has appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom he has ordained; of which he has given assurance to all men, in that he has raised him from the dead.”
The world has been given a clear sign to give up all idolatry and to get ready for the return of the King. Satan has done a great job of diverting people’s attention from the sign. The sign that I am talking about is the resurrection of a man from the dead who would never die again. Death itself was defeated.
Everyone at the time was talking about it. Now, time itself has been subdivided into B.C. and A.D. It is difficult to find a place in the world that hasn’t heard of Jesus Christ. Jesus stands out in history because He claimed to be God and backed it up with evidence. No one else did that.
Ignorance is really no excuse for us because the history of the resurrection is accurate and clear. Not only that, the preachers are still preaching the resurrection to everyone, and our conscience still speaks to us, telling us that it really makes sense (or that we really haven’t looked into it.) Jesus is returning to judge the earth and that time is much closer than it was in then. We probably don’t have much time left and when the end comes, we all will have to face up to the fact that God was expecting us to change our ways.
