Acts 9:31 :
So the assemblies throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
Rejection and blessing is a pattern we see in this age that we live in. On one hand, we are often rejected, sometimes by those in our own family, because we are Christians. Many times, however, this leads to others being blessed by our ministry. As I type this I realize that some of you may be thinking of things that have happened that fit this pattern. Isn’t it amazing that God has a plan even in our times of rejection?
In a big way this verse demonstrates this pattern. A large rejection was taking place against the Christians in Jerusalem but “Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, and were built up.”
Notice, also, that the Holy Spirit is described as one who brings comfort to believers. This is still true for us today. God still works by the Holy Spirit to bring comfort, even when we are rejected.
