Romans 5:12 :
Therefore as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; and so death passed to all men, because all sinned.
Sin originated in the very first man, Adam. After that, every set of parents have sinned and continued to pass the sin on to their children. We are all born sinful and as a result, we continue to the spread of it. It is good to take notice that the history about Adam forms the basis for the need of Christian salvation. The reason I bring this up is that some Christians live in an inconsistent way regarding the truth about the first man. If there was no real Adam, then there was no real first sinner either. You can’t doubt the history of the first man without bringing the whole message of salvation that Paul talks about into question.
Some evolutionists believe that not all people came from a single man or woman but that some came from other not-yet-human animals. This would form a basis for different “races” of men. The Bible doesn’t teach racism at all. In fact, the Bible teaches us that we are all closely related and ultimately have the same father. That’s why we are all sinners!
Since we are all sinners, we all need The Savior. We can’t stop the spread of sin in our corrupt bodies, but we can stop sinning by staying close to the Savior who can help us overcome our tendency to sin.
