John 10:16 : I have other sheep, which are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will hear my voice. They will become one flock with one shepherd
Here Jesus refers to other sheep that must be brought into his flock. I have tried to find a specific meaning from the Bible for this passage but I have found only general indications. Here’s what we know about the future in the Bible.
Soon, Jesus was going to send out His message of salvation to the Gentiles (non Jews). This was a big deal to the Jews. You can read specifically about this in Acts 10:1 – 11:19. We know what happened after this. That’s how most of us came to know about Jesus.
That’s not all though. There are amazing events that are to take place after these times according to the Bible. In the future, Jesus will become a world leader stationed in Jerusalem after a huge exchange between man, God and Satan (Read the entire books of Revelation and Daniel). Jesus is committed to crush all human powers and become the world’s first righteous leader. It says that He will make the world be at peace. He will be called the Prince of Peace. The Bible says that there will no longer be any need of a military. Obviously, we don’t live during that time! At that time, Jesus will gather His “sheep” from all over to be with Him. Jews will be re-gathered under a world empire. Gentiles will also be blessed by this magnificent kingdom. You can read about this in the Old Testament from the prophets who spoke during the time the Jewish exile and dispersion.
Isaiah 2:2-4 : It shall happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Yahweh’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. Many peoples shall go and say, “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem. He will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Isaiah 56:8 : The Lord Yahweh, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says, “Yet will I gather others to him, besides his own who are gathered.”
